Project: Bespoke Exhibition Stand
Exhibition: London Motorcycle Show 2017
Venue: ExCel, London
Established in 1957, Feridax has grown to become the UK’s largest independent value-added wholesaler and brand marketer into the motorcycle clothing and hard parts markets. Its portfolio currently contains world-renowned names including Shoei, Sidi and Caberg; as well as the company's own-brand Spada clothing.
Exhibiting at the London Motorcycle Show, the client wanted a clever mix of contemporary fashion and iconic design, and briefed Apex to create a bespoke exhibition stand that would showcase the Spada range as if displayed on one of the top floors of the unfinished Empire State Building with a 1930’s backdrop.
Apex created a 9m wide X 6m deep platform floor with a distressed plank effect finish and large logo floor vinyls.
The rear wall was built to a height of 4m and dressed with dye sublimated panels, showing a view of New York as it would have looked in 1930. Behind this was a large store room running the full length of the stand.
We also produced a 3.2m high painted girder structure and displayed three dressed mannequins imitating the 1930 iconic photograph of construction workers having lunch sitting on a girder. Oil drums were distressed and given clear acrylic tops to create tables, and, along with a number of distressed chairs, we placed various pallets in the corners as display plinths.
