Van Guard Exhibition Stand

The Brief

To design and build a 14m x 18m stand for the Commercial Vehicle (CV) Show, open on three sides and incorporating key reused elements from 2024. The stand needed to include a 14m product feature wall with new lock demo doors, space for two vans, a semi-private meeting area, a new prototype display counter with storage, and clever integration of a hall pillar into the layout, all while maintaining a practical and inviting visitor experience.

What we did

Our approach focused on balancing standout product visibility with smart reuse and sustainability. We reimagined the 2024 elements to create a fresh layout while maintaining brand consistency and cost efficiency.

  • The central 14m feature wall was the visual hero of the space, showcasing Van Guard’s new lock demonstration doors with the popular lock display from 2024 as the centrepiece.
  • We created a dedicated area for a prototype of a new product with storage, using a new demonstration counter.
  • The slatted logo wall partition added a premium branded touch while subtly creating a semi-private space for meetings.
  • Two branded vans were positioned to allow clear sightlines and walk-around demos, drawing visitors in from all angles.
  • The existing reception counter and plinths were refreshed and repurposed, and we designed a comfortable seating zone using practical furnishings to support meaningful conversations.
  • The hall pillar was cleverly integrated into the stand design by incorporating it into the stand’s storage structure, turning it into a functional asset.

What our client had to say…

“We were delighted with the stand at the CV Show and greatly enjoyed working with Darren and the team on this project. The Apex team didn’t just deliver a visually impressive and functional design – they consistently went the extra mile to ensure everything aligned with our brand and objectives. Their attention to detail, responsiveness and genuine commitment to our success made them feel more like a partner than a supplier. We look forward to working with them again on future events.”
